THE ITALIAN CHAMPION

Alessandro Bovo, born in 1959, a great boxer who wore the Blue Jersey 5 times.
He started his career when he was very young at the Life Boxing Academy in Verona, until he became one of the main exponents of Venetian boxing in the heavyweight category in the 80s and wore the blue jersey 5 times.

In 1980 he won the Italian 2nd Series title, in 1983 he was Silver Medal at the Italian Tournament, in 1985 he won the Gold Medal at the Vienna Tournament and two years later the Silver Medal at the Salzburg Tournament.

He is the only Venetian athlete to have won the Carnera Trophy, an award named after the Friulian boxer Primo Carnera.

After boxing, he dedicated himself to kickboxing, winning the World Cup in 2003 at the Bestfighter tournament in Piacenza in the Full Contact kg + 86 category.

At the end of the competitive period he begins his activity as a coach which leads him to obtain important results at national level both in the amateur and professional fields (Enrico Speri: Italian champion 2nd Series; Luca Mori: Italian professional champion; Tiziana Finocchio: absolute Italian champion).
